Far-infrared Sauna
Toxicity is one of the leading causes of disease today. Our bodies accumulate toxins through what we eat, drink and breathe. Pesticides are sprayed on fruits and vegetables. Animals are fed hormones and eat foods containing chemicals. Tap water contains lead, chlorine and other chemicals. All of these toxins accumulate in our bodies leading to toxic overload.
Far-infrared Sauna Can Help!
Sweating out the toxins in a far-infrared sauna can help detoxify the body helping us live a healthier life.
How does it work?
The sauna is set at a low, dry heat (110-150 degrees). You begin by sitting in the sauna for 30 minute sessions. The heat causes the toxins to be released by cells and upon sweating; the toxins come out of the body to be washed away. This type of sauna is superior to a steam room or wet heat as it allows the body temperature to be kept lower, enabling a longer stay in the sauna. The dry heat also allows a person to easily breathe the air, particularly important for those with cardiovascular conditions.
The sauna can provide relief to people suffering from arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and certain skin conditions. The sauna helps menopause symptoms by relieving chills, nervousness, depression, dizziness, head & stomach aches. The sauna is also great for weight loss; burning up to 600 calories in just one 30-minute session.
Chiropractic - A healing discipline firmly grounded in science.
Although its main focus is the relationship between the skeleton (particularly the spine) and the nervous system that runs through it, chiropractic is concerned with the care of the entire body. Chiropractors use various diagnostic methods, including x-rays, to discover the state of your health, paying particular attention to your spine and bone structure. Spinal manipulation and other manual adjustments are their primary methods of helping your body heal itself.
Naprapathy - Developed in the late 1800s by Dr. Oakley Smith.
Dr. Smith came to believe that it was energy blockages in the soft tissues that not only caused back problems but also led to a variety of other physical complaints. These blockages, he suggested, appeared as muscular contractions in response to psychological conflicts, physical injuries, poor nutrition, and improper posture.
Naprapathy is a system of manually applied movements both passive and active, designed to bring motion with consequent release of tension into abnormally tensed and rigid ligaments, muscles and articulations of the human body. These tissues and structures are normally movable, flexible and resilient. The goal of this therapy is to restore natural flexibility and release tension, leaving the connective tissues pliable and in balance. This not only relieves pain and improves mobility, but enhances blood flow, nerve conduction, and the body's own healing energy.
Nutrition - Critical to good health.
It can help prevent ill health and ensure that you maximize your life style by increasing your vitality; that means boosting your energy level and feeling good about yourself. We're not talking about strict regimes; but making positive choices to ensure that you are the best you can be.
We start out by taking a comprehensive case history, along with a dietary and physical evaluation to evaluate your nutritional needs. Your body chemistry is an important factor in insuring good health. Often with a change in diet or the use of nutritional supplements we can achieve this goal.
